Spider Web Block - Pieced Together Quilting Bee
I made Sara's block today for the PTQB. I'm really glad she challenged us to do this one since it's such a popular design and it's my first time paper piecing. I'm happy with the results, but I learned a few lessons, or as I like to call "aha" moments....like remember to decrease your stitch length....which I did but then forgot to set this decrease after I switched my machine off. I was busy with my daughter this afternoon and had to take breaks in between stitching this block. When it came time to remove the paper and I sprayed it with some water, there were a few places where the paper was making the stitches come undone...and then I realized! Well, that will teach me! The stitches are on default....oh MY! Mommy brain! :)

I didn't forget to decrease the stitch length. I just didn't do it! What a pain! I made sure I changed it for the next block I did for another quilting bee 2.
ReplyDeleteWell done! The block looks great. I made 3 before I realized that I had not decreased the stitch length!
