Knitted Baby Hats - a baby can never have enough!

I just love, love, love knitting baby hats. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than seeing a wee little one in a cute hat! Don't worry though, this one isn't for little Miss G....this is for a 2 month old little girl:)

I've often thought of opening an etsy shop but I guess right now, I don't have the guts. I'd love to be able to make a whole bunch and then sell a few times a year, but I don't know how that would go over. I don't want to lose the joy of making them if it became some mass production. Any thoughts for those of you who have taken the leap and opened an etsy store? I'd love to hear your advice!

  3. Re: etsy, I would be afraid that doing what I loved would turn into a chore. What about craft fairs every now and then?

  4. I haven't a clue about etsy but I do know that Lesly has a good point; some things that are fun lose something when they become 'have to's'.

  5. Sorry, I can't help as I'm not on etsy. Your hat is really cute though :)

Regarding it turning into a chore, you can stop making things for etsy at any point. So you could try making lots in a batch and if you enjoy it then put them on etsy. If you hate it, then stop and keep your hobby as your hobby.

  6. I say try it! I'd make a batch of hats and put them on Etsy. If they sell, fantastic. If not, you'll have some baby gifts all ready to go.
