Plain Spoken Quilt

I've had this book for a while now and have been admiring this pattern so when I saw EmptyBobbins version, I fell in love with it! I contacted EmptyBobbins and mentioned I would like to replicate her version for my daughter. Voila, here is what I've come up with so far. I'm not sure about the mustard color but overall I think it's very sweet. Definitely "springy" in colors! I can't wait to quilt it as I love circles in quilts. I think EmptyBobbins circular quilting is amazing so I'm hoping to learn a new quilting skill:) I'm sure once I have it down pat, I will be quilting a lot of my quilts like this!

Anyhooo...little Miss G is still sick and now she's passed her lovely little germs to me:( It sucks! Back to the couch I go.

  1. Jody, this looks fantastic!! I can't wait to see the progress!

  2. Beautiful! I have to try this pattern, I love it every time I see it.

  3. the quilt looks beautiful!! Hope you are feeling better soon! ~Jessica

  4. I think the mustard looks perfect. In fact, I would say that the top is far more interesting/dynamic with it in there.
